It's rare to find a retro video game store like this, especially in the suburbs. I lived in downtown Portland the last 5 years or so until recently, and after moving out to Sherwood, this is the most interesting retro video game store I've encountered basically anywhere. I do not doubt it's difficult in an eBay age to have a physical store like this, but it's very refreshing to walk through though that door. You run into all those old cartridge, arcade machine, etc. subtle smells right as you enter. It's something you would expect from Ground Kontrol and the Portland Retro Games Festival. It's nice to have a store that you can count on being there for that. Everyone I've run into at Game Haven has known exactly what I'm looking for upon request and if a copy is available or not. Picked up a copy of Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box which has been really enjoyable the past couple weeks (Mostly I just use it during my commute to take my mind off The Witness). Looking forward to saying hi to you guys soon and to continue scouring through the SNES, DS, and 3DS games.
